I'm Laura von Holt, an upwardly mobile theatre maven, pinup and guru. It's been said that I am my own alter ego. I'm also smart, pretty, and marginally famous.

These are tales of romance, cocktails, family, friends, internet domination and occasionally being recognized on the street. If you're reading this, you're probably obsessed with me, and that's ok.

I have a year to learn to be an aerial silks acrobat. It's kind of like Liza Minelli training to be Lance Armstrong.

I'd like everyone to keep in mind that fame may give you power, but it won't turn on your electric fence.

Also, it's like I wrote in my play: "The people you love are always famous."

I viewed the Elizabeth Taylor Collection yesterday while in the company of Miss Elizabeth Claire Taylor and her fabulous entourage including her personal jewelers and vintage fashion dealer. It was an epic afternoon.
